Menacer is renowned for his devastating use of the Amen break (Menacer itself is an anagram of 'Amen Rec')
Menacer began his journey back in summer 2001 with a well received remix of Miracle's debut "Polluted Beach" on Beeswax Records (which managed to reach number 3 in Fabio & Grooverider's BBC Radio 1 show weekly sales chart).
This was followed by the intensely fierce amen track "Shadow Warrior" which was licensed to Breakbeat Science (USA) in 2002 and featured on DJ Bailey's (BBC 1xtra / Intasound / Metalheadz) "Soul Thunder" mix CD.
With Bailey being a firm supporter of Menacer's material, he eventually signed and released Menacer's follow up "I Can't Take It" on his & Dylan's (of "Therapy Sessions / Freak Recordings" fame) label. This track fused relentlessly cut up amen breakbeats over furious reece and sub basslines creating a vision of chaos on the dancefloor.
It achieved almost anthem like status amongst DJ Bailey & Dylan's Therapy Session DJ sets at the time and was even listed in Knowledge Magazine (Spring 2004) as "Bailey's No 1 modern day choppage classic".
Now in 2009, Menacer returned to form delivering an INSANE remix Dan Miracle's "Universal Energy", out now on Miraculous Recordings Digital. Devastating!
